1890, 1c ULTRAMARINE, 2c CARMINE ON 2c ENTIRE TO GREENLAND, #219, 220, tied by cork cancels and Parker, South Dakota on Aug., 1892 on Aug. 9, 1892 cover to Greenland, sent via Copenhagen, Denmark and there delivered to the Greenland Office where "Den KGl. Gronlandse Handel" h.s. applied, also notation in Danish "the addressee not to be found in Greenland", then returned to the Danish Postal authorities and subsequently returned to the sender in South Dakota, Danish "Ubekjendt. // inconnu." label on back, fine-very fine, an exceedingly rare usage of the small bank note issue to Greenland well before this country issued it's first stamps....$250
