Worldwide Internet/Mail Sale - June 17, 2020

Welcome to our June mail auction. The last few weeks have been a very different experience for all of us. We send our best wishes and hope for a return to normal life in the near future. Here at the office we have been open for business but working with a reduced staff. Compared to most areas New Brunswick has been quite lucky with the covid-19 virus. As I write this, there have been 120 cases reported for the entire province with no deaths. The first steps toward reversing the special measures that were put in place are now being taken.

I have talked with many collectors recently and we all agree on one thing -- it is great to have a hobby like stamp collecting in such difficult times. I spoke with several customers who have renewed their interest after being in-active in the hobby for a few years.

All the stamp shows we were to attend in 2020 have now been cancelled or postponed. How-ever, some good news has also arrived. There will be a Capex show in Toronto in June of 2022. This will be the first since 1996 so it is long overdue. The international show in London has now been re-scheduled for February 2022.

The relative slow down has allowed us to gain some ground on a backlog of stamps! A lot of floor space has been freed up as a result and you will find:

  • A larger than usual selection of collections and accumulations, including lots aimed at providing entertainment during these unusual times.
  • U.S. duck stamps
  • Complete booklets and plate blocks of Canada
  • An extensive selection of British Commonwealth lots both large and small
Work on our website continues and I hope that you are enjoying the improvements. There have been growing pains of course but we expect a few persistent problems to be corrected soon. Your suggestions for changes are always welcome. If you would like reminders on closing dates and future auctions please provide your email address.
