Our sale of United States, British, and Worldwide Stamps, Covers, and Collections features several key areas which are worth noting. From one of the largest holdings of United States postmarks ever assembled to specialized collections of US Possessions, Eastern and Western Expresses, and Locals and Carriers, this sale is populated by many attractive and desirable covers. There are also many interesting lots to be found in the British Commonwealth and Foreign sections of the catalogue; and as always, the collections session on day three will appeal to dealers and collectors alike. Several key lots include:
  • 1893 Hawaii 10c "blue inside" envelope with red overprint used to Germany, one of only two known examples (Lot 1724)
  • 1906 Registered cover from Puerto Rico to Germany with San Juan and New York registry labels (Lot 1921)
  • Endorsed cover in General Robert E. Lee's own hand (Lot 2726)
