EXTREMELY FINE. A SUPERB USED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT BUFF 1861 ISSUE.

Due to narrow spacing on the 5c plate, it is very difficult to find centered copies with the perforations clear of the design on all sides. The stamp offered here, with its choice centering and two-color cancels, may be considered a condition rarity.

With 1999 and 2010 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90, SMQ $2,500.00). The earlier certificate identifies the stamp as Brown Yellow and the current certificate (with which we agree) identifies the stamp as Buff (Image)
