2725 c Franklin D. Roosevelt Collection of Cacheted U.S. Naval Covers. Approx 100 Navy ship covers in a binder addressed to President Roosevelt, each backstamped "From the Franklin D. Roosevelt Collection Auctioned Feb., April, 1946 by H.R. Harmer Inc., N.Y.", a few are Crosby cachets and two are signed by Crosby, some first days and first day of commission, huge variety of ships, incl. some sunk at Pearl Harbor (USS Arizona, USS Oklahoma) or elsewhere during the war, also not counted in the group of 100 are four addressed to Governor Roosevelt, several Roosevelt-themed first days, plus two unrelated stamped "Sargo 583 North Pole 1960", overall a fascinating group that should be viewed to be appreciated
