$2.00 Dark Blue (312). Top imprint and plate no. 1630 block of six with wide selvage, small h.r. at top where few minor perf separations sensibly reinforced, rich color on bright paper, enlarged staple
holes at top FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE IMPRINT AND PLATE NUMBER BLOCK OF SIX OF THE $2.00 1902 ISSUE. THIS IS THE ONLY RECORDED TOP POSITION PLATE BLOCK -- A GREAT RARITY OF THE ISSUE. Lewis Kaufman records only one top and three bottom plate
blocks. This plate block is missing from most important collections. Todd and Lilly did not own any. The only example we located using Power Search was a bottom position offered in our 1967 Rarities sale (also ex Eno). Wampler had one from the bottom
