5459   90c Carmine (191). 19 stamps (three singles, five pairs and two strips of three), all originally on a piece of parcel wrapper and tied by Boston Mass ovals, unfortunately the piece was a victim of a flood, the stamps floated off and at the same time picked up some light blue staining of varying degrees, a real philatelic tragedy, perhaps the stamps can be professionally cleaned to remove the staining and a reconstruction can be accomplished, if so, this would make an outstanding exhibition piece as it is likely the largest amount of 90c 1879 Bank Note stamps used on one piece, original water-stained piece accompanies, Scott Retail as five singles and seven pairs
