Top plate no. blocks of six of each, rich colors, hinge marks primarily on top center stamps, fresh and Very Fine, a rare set of plate blocks of this officially sanctioned private perforation. In December 1914, the Kansas City post office had an oversupply of imperforate stamps, originally intended for vending machines. The supply of stamps was rouletted with women's dressmaking tracing wheels, and official approval for their release was given by Washington. Each with purple "C.A.S." in circle backstamp.
