The $1.00 Trans-Mississippi stamp is widely regarded as the most beautiful stamp ever issued by the United States. Plate blocks of six are much rarer than the four-stamp plate blocks. The Kobacker and Wampler collections only had plate number blocks of four, and other than a pane of 50 this is the only plate block of six we have offered since keeping computerized records. (Image)
