Aug. 22, 1925" duplex to Honolulu, purple "United States/First Flight/Hawaiian Islands" cachet and also purple "This letter given service on/first trip Naval planes from/San Francisco, California/to/Honolulu, Hawaii/August, 1925" six-line handstamp, ms. "This envelope was carried in the Navy's PN-9 #3, which was forced down in the Pacific Ocean Sept. 1, 1925 on an attempted non-stop flight from Calif. to the Hawaiian Islands - Lieut. Allan P. Snody, Cmd'g. PN-9 #3", fresh and Very Fine, AAMC value (Image) 200.00

Cover bearing four Russia stamps tied by "Moscou Etranger 28.4.39" circular datestamps to New York, Moscow registry label, signed prior to application of all the stamps, also with "Miscou Lighthouse N.B. AP-28, 1939" receiving datestamp at bottom, trivial edge toning, Very Fine, very rare, the flight crashed in New Brunswick after successfully crossing the Atlantic, only 32 cards were carried, this is particularly desirable as the New Brunswick cancellation is on the front, 1990 AAMC value (Image) 1,250.00
