VERY FINE. AN OUTSTANDING 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE VALENTINE'S DAY USAGE WITH THE RARE HEART-AND-CROSS FANCY CANCELLATION.

The use of a Heart fancy cancel (rare in its own right) on a Valentine envelope posted on Valentine's Day, February 14th, is truly rare in any period and quite possibly unique among 1869 Issue covers. This cover realized $1,500 in the Grunin sale decades ago.
