VERY FINE AND VERY RARE. THIS IS ONLY THE THIRD USED EXAMPLE OF THIS ISSUE RECORDED, AND THE ONLY LOCAL USAGE.

Steven M. Roth records just one example of 121L2A, affixed to a cover postmarked Nov. 16 (ca. 1851) to Thomas Woolman, Burlington N.J. (ex J. W. Brown). We also offered one in our auction of the Hall Collection (Sale 830) which is pictured in the Ferrary sale catalogue on a different cover from the one it is currently on. VERY FINE EXAMPLE OF PRIEST'S BLACK-ON-YELLOW STAMP, USED TO THE MAILS WITH THE 3-CENT 1851 ON AN ATTRACTIVE COVER. ONLY THREE 121L3 COVERS RECORDED IN ROTH CENSUS.
