FINE. ONE OF THE FINEST OF THE FEW KNOWN EXAMPLES OF THE SIMMONS IUKA ISSUE ON WATERMARKED PAPER.

Only six examples of this stamp are recorded in the Aldrich census. The Simmons firm's stamps come with the Iuka or St. Louis inscriptions. The Iuka was normally printed on silk paper, and the St. Louis on watermarked paper. The Iuka on watermarked paper is a great rarity. (Image)
