2445 c Massive Archival Postal History Accumulation. 12 cartons containing perhaps 2,000 covers, approximately 10% of the volume is pre-1900 with some dating back to 1860's including Civil War Patriotics, Bank Note Issues to foreign destinations, some of European origin, much of the 20th Century is 1920's, 30's and World War II, about 25% is modern mail but almost all covers have stamps, this archival material is sorted by family name and includes some that are well known, very very mixed condition, a lot to look thru but one pass turned up some interesting covers to a hospital chaplain during the Civil War (one marked "Not at Sanitary Commission"), a few Rose Pinks and possible Pinks, unusual cancels, etc., this lot is not for the impatient mind or physically weak (it must be carried away), but the winning bidder will be rewarded E. 1,000-1,500
