926   19th Century Balance, 1845-1893. On homemade album pages, includes two Postmaster Provisionals (9X1 double transfer and 10X1), No. 1 (pen cancelled), 1851 Issue includes 1c Type IIIa, 5c, 10c Type I with bright red cancel, and 12c pair, 1851 mostly unused to 90c, with used 5c Brick Red, also 12c Reprint (faults), beginning with the 1861 Issue, it is almost all unused, with 1861-66 Issue to 90c, 1869 Pictorials include unused 30c and 90c, various Bank Notes, some with original gum, mixed centering and condition, the total catalogue value is quite high sold for the benefit of the Smithsonian National Postal Museum

927 og 19th Century Unused Balance. 43 unused stamps on stock cards, from Scott Nos. 10X1 thru 218, nearly all with original gum and a couple Mint N.H., the vast majority with P.F. certificates which almost universally state "genuine" (meaning no faults), some original gum highlights include Nos. 11, 24, 35, 56, 63, 94a, 112, 133, 133a, 136, 157, 178, 189, 205, 208a, 209, 211, 217 and 218, plus Mint N.H. Nos. 184 and 212, lots of well-centered, four-margin stamps, a few small flaws might be encountered despite the clean P.F. certificates, and the handful of uncertified stamps are generally of lesser quality than the certified ones, but overall a fresh and Very Fine Classic original gum balance with some Extremely Fine, Scott Retail more than $8,500.00
