Oct. 29" circular datestamp on Davis correspondence cover to Lima, Peru, back with Peru 10c Orange, Postage Due (J3), tied by 1873 Lima datestamp, docketing on front indicates this was carried back to the U.S. in 1878, stamps and cover with faults, part of backflap missing, still Fine appearance, an unusual 22c rate cover with a combination of U.S. and Peru stamps, the latter has the same vignette of the S.S. Adriatic used on the 12c 1869, making it of great interest and value to the 12c 1869 specialist (Image)
