VERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXCEEDINGLY ELUSIVE STRIP OF THREE OF THE 2-CENT TYPE III ROTARY ISSUE IMPERFORATE VERTICALLY .

A review of Power Search revealed only one other example, which we sold in 2000. With fewer than 25 pairs believed to exist, this variety is vastly rarer than, and should not be confused with, the 2c Ty. III Rotary issue in a vertical pair imperforate horizontally. We believe it is undercatalogued in Scott.

Ex Georgetown. With 1970 P.F. certificate. Scott Retail for a pair with no premium for the additional stamp (Image)

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A RARE MULTIPLE OF THE ONE-CENT PERF 10 ROTARY ISSUE IMPERFORATE-BETWEEN VARIETY.

This is one of the rarest of the imperforate-between errors -- only two others appeared in Power Search -- one is contained in a horizontal strip of three (offered in Sale 997) and the other was offered in 2000 and then subsequently in the Floyd sale (it has an internal crease).

Ex Whitman. With 1988 and 2004 P.F. certificates. Scott Retail as two pairs. (Image)
