This cover illustrates a most unusual usage of the NYFM cancel as a killer of a erroneous postmark. The clerk first mark the mails for dispatch by PCM, then noting endorsment at top, obliterated the first directional postmark with the NYFM design and marked it for dispatch by the Hamburg packet
