R. Maresch & Son Auctions Ltd. - Spring Sale - April 26-27, 2017 Our last auction was very well received with many lots exceeding our pre-sale expectations by a considerable margin. The demand for philatelic material continues unabated and we received a record number of bid sheets for the auction, with participation from an abundance of new collectors, mainly bidding over the internet or by email.

As was the case last Fall, this sale is being slightly later than our traditional Winter auction, as we continue to embrace and expand the available online and internet components of auctioneering available to our customers in the 21st century. We hope to provide you next with an 'internet-only' collectors auction of individual stamps, sets, proofs and covers to be held during the summer months, and we will also hold our normal public auction in September, with literally several truckloads of material and several specialized collections having already arrived for inclusion.

This current sale offers over 1700 lots in three sessions and the first session begins with the usual extensive offering of bulky collections and larger lots as well as Stampless Postal History. It also includes a specialized FIRST DAY COVER collection in 200+ lots formed over several decades by Terry Mainprize, the best we have ever been privileged to offer, with an extensive selection of Dyer hand-painted covers as well as several other unique or extremely rare runs or individual gems. We would like express our profound appreciation to Mr. Paul Varty for his expert assistance in lotting this specialized material. The first session continues with Pence and Cents issues and concludes with the Large Queen section which contain a lifetime assemblage of premium used stamps featuring jumbo margins, cds cancels, etc. The second session has the balance of Canada from Small Queens to Revenues, with high values, specialized papers, perforations, usages, varieties, multiples, proofs, etc. The third session contains Canadian Provinces with a significant offering of British Columbia and Vancouver Island including a mint #1 in showpiece quality with sheet margin as well as other Pence issues including Newfoundland, etc. This last session continues with Great Britain including a good selection of Penny Blacks as well as in-depth Machin Heads with many varieties and specialized listings. It concludes with over 450 lots of British Commonwealth and Foreign material including collections, singles and sets.

Please note that in keeping with industry standard and in order to continue to provide our consignors with a competitive commission structure we have changed the buyer’s premium charged on each auction lot to 18%. This change has been noted on our printed bid sheet as well as in our terms of sale.

You can get your bids to us ELECTRONICALLY via Stamp Auction Network (www.stampauctionnetwork.com), by email (bids@maresch.com) (www.maresch.com), or through our website. By FAX (toll free 1-855-363-6511, locally 416-363-6511), TELEPHONE (toll-free 1-800-363-0777, locally 416-363-7777). Rasdale Stamp Company - Wordwide Public Auction - May 20-21, 2017 Welcome to the 432nd Public Auction. The United States section is comprised of two major estates. The first is an impressive Beer stamp grouping of superior quality. The second estate tells an interesting story as it is connected to the circus. The many individual front and back of the book items with 2016-2017 Philatelic Foundation comes from a holding that has not seen the light of day since 1956 when the collector passed away. The collector was M.T. Barnes then partnered with an Ed Carruthers of the Fair Booking Association located here in Chicago. Mr. Barnes and his wife would travel all over the country as well as throughout the world looking for unusual talent to book into the circus.

The Worldwide stamps section originates from a handful of better properties. Countries of note include Germany and Garman Area as well as Italy and Area. Rounding out Session Two is another installment of Chinese single covers from the Peninsular estate.
