Dutch Country Auctions / The Stamp Center - Public Auction - September 15-16, 2017 Our September auction is packed with singles and large lots across all areas. In our cover section we have nice groups of ship covers, U.S. stampless, advertising and FDCs. The highlight of the cover section is the “Elliott Lewis Naval Cover Collection!” A lifetime collection very well presented. Our worldwide cover collection is also strong with many Zeppelin lots, much Germany, a large accumulation of Japan and two lots of worldwide, each with thousands of covers.
The Americana section features two especially nice large lots of autographs. The highlights of the coin section include certified Liberty and Buffalo Nickels, a full set of higher grade Washington Quarters, an 1815 Bust Half Dollar, certified Walking Liberty Halves plus some fine vintage U.S. Gold pieces and large size U.S. Currency.

Maresch & Son Auctions Ltd. - Public Auction - September 26-27, 2017 We have just completed our first-ever ‘Internet-only’ auction, of Maresch material, including many individual better items as well as stamps, varieties or covers in the $10 to $100 range. It was enthusiastically received and many of you were able to add some desirable and elusive items to your collection, therefore, we are planning another Internet-only sale for the late fall. We’ve also been busy finalizing our next public unreserved auction sale, to be held in the last week of September, and here it is. Consignments for this sale came in from dozens of different owners and estates, and the 1600+ lots represent stamps and covers from the four corners of the world. The shelves are full again and there are so many large lots to look at that we suggest leaving extra time to view. Session one starts on Tuesday September 26th at 6:30 pm with Canada from large lots to the Admiral issues with better sections of Pence issues, Jubilees, etc., with many singles and sets being never hinged and very fine or better. The second session starts Wednesday September 27th at 1:00 pm with Canada 1917 Confederation on including modern varieties, Postage Dues, Revenues, better New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland stamps, Postal history, and stamped covers. It concludes with Great Britain and British Commonwealth with many single stamps and sets as well as country collections and larger lots.
