Mail Sale - December 11, 2019

Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains over 750 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:
  • UNITED STATES, There are about (135) U.S. lots, (15) Classics & Banknotes, (5) Columbian lots, (20) 1890's Regular issues, and Trans-Mississippi & Louisiana Purchase lots. There are also about (40) Washington-Franklins and other early 20th Century issues; and lastly about (57) 1930 to Date with a good selection of graded issues (31), mostly GEMS.

  • COVERS, There are (64) lots; (11) being Commercial covers, and (53) FDC's with a couple Baseball Centennial covers, including the rare 1st Baltimore Orioles black on orange FDC, and $5 Bret Harte w/HAM cachet.

  • AIRMAIL & BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains about (40) lots of Airmails (11) graded, including several GEM and BOB; one example highlight is an RB19b w/certificate.

  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, (49) lots with a selection of misperfs and a 569 Blk/9 (30 cent Buffalo), with LR double transfer and other oddities.

  • GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, about (100) lots from a variety of countries that includes two rare Russia imperf varieties w/cert, a few Confederate and U.S. Possessions issues; and (3) Foreign and Topical collections.

  • DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior and State) contains over (330) lots; including (6) Junior Duck items, (17) PNS's, (111) Federal duck issues, and (4) Mini-sheets. About (55) Federal & State Artist Signed, about (30) EFO's and Remarques. Rounding out the sale are about (100) State and Conservation items that include complete collections from Maine, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New York and Pennsylvania.

  • MISCELLANEOUS, (4) lots of Literature, Autographs and Cinderella material.
