Mail Sale - May 15, 2019

Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM, Central Time. The sale contains over 650 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:

  • UNITED STATES, There are about (130) U.S. lots, with approximately (12) Classics and Banknotes, about (30) Columbians and early Commemoratives, including a nice $1.00 Columbian. There are about (20) Washington-Franklins, about (18) 1920 Commemorative and Kansas/Nebraska Overprints; and over (50) 1930 to Date with a large selection (40) graded issues, including (2) GEM 100.

  • COVERS, a nice selection of about (80) lots with a few Commercial covers, and about (70) FDC covers.

  • AIRMAIL & BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains about (25) lots of Airmails and BOB, with a very nice C3 corner block/10; a complete set of Columbian card proofs and a complete set of US Department officials (93) on India papers, - interesting selection.

  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, about (10) lots with a selection of mostly imperforate pairs, and a set of (3) C3 "moving airplane" color mis-registrations.

  • GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, over (130) lots from a variety of countries, including several rare Great Britain #95, Japan 1950-52 Definitives; Venezuela Coats of Arms sets, along with very nice Netherlands and Ryukyu country collections, as well as other country and topical collections.

  • AUTOGRAPHS & MISCELLANEOUS, a few lots of miscellaneous and Cinderella items (6) and Autographs (4).

  • DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior & State) contains approximately (280) lots; including (25) collections, covers, licenses and collateral material, (11) Junior Ducks, including artist signed, (55) PNS's, and (120) Federal singles with an RW2 plate block/6 being offered, Mini-sheets (2), Press Sheets (10), Artist Signed (7), and (7) Duck EFO's. Also, about (35) State items including Governor Editions.
