Dale Enterprises - Terms and Conditions
TERMS OF SALE - NO BUYER'S PREMIUM ADDED TO ANY LOT
- The highest bidder shall prevail. All bids must be submitted in writing with a
signature & phone number on bid sheet. We reserve the right to refuse any bid.
- Unsatisfactory lots are returnable, except; in lots of ten or more stamps; items
pictured are not returnable for centering or cancels; lots sent for postal viewing; lots
described as containing stamps with faults or defects; and lots described as “as is”.
Items resold via the internet, auctions, etc.are not returnable under any
circumstances. All returns must be made within five days of receipt. Lots must be
returned with the counter pages as you received them. Postage will not be refunded.
- Buyers who wish to obtain an expert certificate on any lot, must make their
intentions known in writing when placing a bid; AND must notify Dale Enterprises,
Inc. within seven days of receipt of the stamp. The item must be submitted to an
acceptable expertizing committee. In the event an adverse opinion is rendered, the
cost of the certificate will be made up to $50.00 for any single item. Lots
accompanied by an expert certificate may not be submitted for additional certificate.
Postage not refunded. No lot will be accepted back under any circumstances after
six months of the Mail Bid Sale closing date. Due to controversies regarding the
new method of “slabbing,” any item purchased from Dale Enterprises, Inc., is not
returnable after slabbing.
- Successful bidders will be invoiced and lots forwarded upon receipt of payment in
full. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice. Unpaid balances may be subject to late
fees after 30 days of invoice date. Postage and insurance costs will be added to
each invoice. PA residents must pay 6% sales tax. VISA, MasterCard and
American Express accepted for payment, authorized charges will be sent
immediately. Layaway orders remain the property of Dale Enterprises, Inc. until paid
in full.
- These Terms of Sale and the purchaser’s and our respective rights and obligations
here under are governed by the laws of the State of PA. By bidding in a sale, each
purchaser or bidder agrees to be bound by these Terms of Sale. Any dispute,
controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this agreement, or the breach,
termination or validity thereof, brought by or against Dale Enterprises, Inc. may be
resolved by legal action brought in PA as the sole place for jurisdiction and litigation
of any issues between the parties.
- Bids well below estimate (E/NET) stand little chance of success.

- Numbers and prices from Scott’s latest U.S. Specialized catalogues, unless otherwise noted. Estimates (E/NET) are based on current market prices.
- CENTERING: Superb = four large even margins; XF = Extremely Fine, at least 75% centered; VF = Very Fine, at least 50% centered; F = Fine, perfs do not touch after 1980, ( just touches on earlier issues); AVE = Average, perfs cut into design.
