98		CHAIM ARIAV Born 1895 in Russia, arrived in Palestine 1912, was a volunteer in the Turkish Army & completed Officers Training School in Constantinople & taught at the Military School in Damascus, after the detection of NILI Jewish Underground he was arrested & sent to Constantinople for further investigations, released, but not allowed to return to Palestine & sent to the Caucasus front as an officer & translator, certified as a lawyer, member of the "Young Leadership" committee of Herzliya Student Association, General Secretary of the Jewish Agency, Secretary of the Jewish Farmers Federation, established the "League of Local Councils" 1934, one of founders of the "Sick Fund", member of the Executive Committee of the "Union of General Zionists", Chairman of the Municipal Dept of the "Citizens Union", one of founders of "HaBoker" daily, Member of 2nd & 3rd Knesset.
