This stampless folded letter is to the "selectmen or assessors of the Town of Madbury" and is an assessment of $140. Signed by New Hampshire Treasurer John Atwood with clear seal. A choice offering. Madbury is a town in Strafford County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 1,771 at the 2010 census. John Atwood was state Treasurer from 1843-1846. (Image1) (image2)
