Pooley also stamped with the type IV cachet to "The Courier" of Liverpool detailing some events of the past year (seeming to think the letter would reach England for a year-end edition), opens with "In case we do not see another ship this year…" and also mentions death of a young island girl, the inability of goats to survive, good potato crops and "We have enough to eat".  ,
