includes a reference collection of forgeries of the Eagle issue by Fournier and others consisting of four cancelled singles, two uncancelled blocks and two pieces with three Fournier proof impressions on each; an interesting lot of scarce items. |

the major overprint varieties of the large "2" in "20" (position 25 of the right pane) and the accent over the "E" of "G.P.E." (position 6 of the left pane), rich color, o.g., all the stamps are never hinged being hinged in the selvage only, light
vertical fold in the gutter along the left frames of the right pane, very fine; since this overprint was typeset, including the lines of the boxes, the different positions are quite easily plated making this sheet indispensable for plating and
authenticating of individual stamps (Yvert €4,025+ for hinged singles). (Image) |

excellent impressions of both the stamp and the overprint with rich yellow (orange) surface color to the paper, o.g., all the stamps are never hinged except two that have the hinge marks in the selvages carry over onto the stamp including the bottom
right variety stamp, vertical fold in the gutter between the panes, very fine; wonderful for plating and rare as very few double panes showing the setting still remain intact (Yvert €3,390+ for hinged singles).
