Harrison two-line imprint pair, being one of just a few known, well centered strong color, o.g., several separated perforations in first vertical row, some of which have been hinge reinforced, still very fine for this highly important imprint pair; of the two-line Harrison imprint, there are only two blocks of four recorded, one of which resides in the Royal Collection and the other, in private hands, sold for A$50,000, plus the 12% buyer's premium, in the January 2003 sale of the "Zed" Collection (sold by Premier Philately), a pair such as this may be the only way one can represent this imprint for many years to come (A$12,500). 587 Pc 38PP(1) image#38PP(1), 2/- Maroon, imperforate plate proof on wove paper, horizontal pair with four large and well balanced margins, used as the sole franking on a censored airmail cover sent from Sydney to Vancouver, Canada, correctly prepaying the 4/- ½oz. Clipper rate, neat "Sydney/22 OCT 1941" airmail slogan cancel, cover slightly reduced at left and with tear on back flap, the pair itself very fine; this pair represents the only known examples of this imperforate plate proof, amazingly used paying the correct postage on an obviously non-philatelic cover, an important Third Watermark issue rarity (A$20,000).
