1266 nhbl 543/1294 #543/1294, C7/R264, Extensive mint sheet collection neatly housed in nine mint sheet albums, includes better early sheets such as #620, #630 sheet of 25, nearly all of the 2c Reds, two sets of the Aeronautics, 1932 Washington Bicentennial complete less the 6c, Farleys including full sheets of 200 of #755, 757-59 (these housed in a tube), Perforated Parks complete, Presidentials to 30c, Famous Americans complete, Liberty issue to $1.00 with most values present in both wet and dry printings (including 40c-$1.00 values) and later regular issues to $1.00, good value in early air posts which are complete from #C7 on except for the Zeppelins, also special deliveries, postage dues including two of #J88, QE1-3, and five sheets of #R264, there is some duplication, but this is usually on the better items, such as extra sheets of #893 and C31, there are also some unusual items such as #896 signed by the contemporary governor of Idaho and #E15 with a horizontal splice (PSE certificate), there are a few imperfections as always found on early sheets (perf. separations, selvage dings, etc.), but for the most part they are o.g., n.h. and fine-very fine. 1273 c Attractive 19th century postal history selection, consisting of 56 covers, starts with a #1 on 1850 Pittsburgh folded letter, includes several nice 1851 Imperforate covers including three 10c Green covers and a #11 on Fremont campaign cover, later issues include several Civil War patriotics, one of which is a caricature, also some better values such as two covers with 1c Blue, Ty. IIIa (#22) and a nicely centered #32, plus a range of 1861-67 Issues including 2c "Black Jacks", 1869 Pictorials with 1c and 2c frankings, plus a 12c Stevens Dispatch Agent cover to England, there is also a modest number of postal stationery including a first issue envelope to England and forwarded to Florence, Italy, even three mint 1876 Centenary envelopes and three interesting Confederate States covers, condition varies with some faults present, but many are quite attractive and fine-very fine or better as well; a nice lot well worth examining Est. 2,000-3,000

1278 c 239/534 #239/534, Former earliest documented usages, lot of six covers, an off-cover single (#239) and block (#534), all but #239 are accompanied by a recent APS certificate stating it is the earliest documented usage, but all have been recently supplanted by an earlier usage, in fact all are still listed in the current Scott Specialized catalog as being the EDU, includes #267, 374, 468, 513, 534 and #383V which was beaten by the very cover offered in this sale (lot 865), fine -very fine. 1279 FDC First Day Cover collection/accumulation of over 700 cacheted FDC's in six binders from 1933 to 1979 with about half in the 1930's and early 1940's, one album contains 132 Rice cacheted covers starting with the 1933 3c Oglethorpe to 1940 with several better early issues including National Parks cplt., several issues of the early 1940's are collected by as many different cachets as could be found, also a handpainted cachet by Victor Nimmo for the the 1940 Defense issue on one cover (#899-901), very fine throughout and worth examining for better items.
