I, perforated 12 x 10, an exceptionally handsome used example of this enormously rare compound perforation, which has recently been given major catalog status in Scott, wonderfully well centered within large margins, in fact, this example is among the best centered available among the 28 used copies recorded, rich radiant color, neat light strike of a duplex numeral cancel, faint vertical crease at top not mentioned on the accompanying certificate, otherwise very fine and choice; considering that only one mint copy of this stamp is recorded, realizing $176,000.00 (including premium) to a private collector in June of this year, a used example of this stamp will, more than likely, be the only way one can obtain this important rarity for years to come; clear 1970 PF certificate; ex-Ballman.
