684 og imageS.G. #67, 70, 1897 "2 1/2d surcharge Types 8, 11 on 2/- Dull lilac, se-tenant pair, a magnificent left sheet-margin pair of these surcharges on the rare 2/- value, found in a condition that is virtually unheard of for these issues, possessing flawless centering, and exceedingly fresh with unfaded strong color, full original gum that is lightly hinged; extremely fine in all respects; this is truly a remarkable pair when one considers that all the types of the surcharged Two Shilling total only 240 stamps, the right stamp in this pair, being Type 11, had a total issuance of only 32 stamps and in a se-tenant pair may very well be unique; 1993 BPA certificate (Scott #60, 62; $9,850.00+).
