1160 O 139 var. image#139 var., 10c Brown with "I" grill, large margined used single, with black cork cancel and small portion of red c.d.s, this stamp bears the very scarce "I" grill (early state), a clear and characteristic impression of this grill with 11 points wide and 13 points high (8 1/2x10mm), this value is the last to just recently be added to six other values that Scott notes have this size grill, only six other examples had been previously recorded prior to this one, and only about half of those six were reasonably centered and relatively sound as is this example, very fine; a very rare variety for the specialist; 1984 PF certificate as a genuinely grilled stamp.
