2055 ogbl 1N16 image#1N16, 1942 4a Slate blue with "Service" overprint and black Japanese occupation Peacock overprint done at Henzada, mint block of twelve (4x3), tropicalized o.g. with some adherence, vertical creases affect all stamps and small thin spots to the top pair at right, very fine appearance; this is, in fact, an unissued value that was never used; accompanied by photocopy of 2002 Brandon Certificate for a block of 32, this being the top three rows, stating "... genuine. The overprint is from the posthumous printing made for the Japanese Post Office"; this is the only way this value comes and the block of 32 (with faults) is most of the world's supply of this stamp, thus the considerably higher catalog value in Stanley Gibbons than Scott (S.G.#J36, £12,000).
