1996 nhblc S.G. #398, 398a-f #398, 398a-f, 4c on 5c Sepia, rose and lilac, a specialized collection of this locally surcharged definitive, which received simply a "4" and an "X" to obliterate the former 5c denomination, this was done in settings of 25 on sheets of 100 so each sheet had to go into the press four times producing numerous types of errors and varieties, the collection consists of a full sheet of 100 of the normal stamp, plus 61 mostly mint singles and blocks showing all the different listed varieties including some in multiples, also some that are unlisted such as a horizontal pair with and without surcharge (only listed this way as vertical pair of which there are four including one on cover), there are three different showing triple surcharges of various intensities and positions, etc., in addition to the stamps there are 26 covers including three with major varieties and postmarks of all twelve of the parish post offices, mint have o.g. and are n.h. with only a couple of exceptions, the Stanley Gibbons catalog value for just the mint is over £1,200; a lovely assemblage of very fine material that would be hard to duplicate (Scott #327 var.). Est. 400-500

1997 BK S.G. #SB2 imageS.G. #SB2, 1913 2/- King George V complete booklet, black on red covers, containing two panes of six of the 1/2p Green and three panes of six of the 1p Red (S.G. #171, 172), stapled at left, o.g., n.h., made from sheet stamps but nearly full perfs. on all panes and well centered, covers are also exceptionally fresh for a booklet of this period with only trivial wrinkles, choice very fine and very scarce, especially in such nice condition (Scott #117a, 118b; unpriced).
