172 O image1841 1d. red-brown plate 11 AA-AF, a magnificent used horizontal strip of six, extravagantly large margins nearly all round, close but clear at lower right corner, soft pastel colour highlighting the five (instead of the requisite six) crisp and crystal clear complete strikes of the Maltese Cross in black, central horizontal crease and vertical crease through AD, otherwise very fine and a spectacular multiple depicting a rare instance of the cancellations being applied contrary to the strict post office regulations; ex-Seymour.
