135 og 91 image#91, 15c Black, "E" grill, the mint example offered here of this exceedingly rare stamp is, without question, one of the most pristine mint Fifteen Cent "E" grills to be offered at public auction in years, as this stamp possesses an overall brilliance and crispness unlike any other we have seen, with rich luxuriant color and a razor-sharp impression on immaculate paper that is remarkably well preserved, while not perfectly centered (which we have never seen on a mint copy) it is far better centered than the vast majority, as most are found with its perforations cutting the design, plus its margins are much larger than usual, even its reverse is out of the ordinary, featuring full pristine o.g. with just the barest suggestion of a very light hinge mark (if at all), overall a very fine and choice gem; a marvelous condition rarity, as any mint #91 with original gum is a seldom offered stamp at auction, but one in this "post office" condition is a rarely seen opportunity; 1980 PF certificate for a block of four, this being the bottom left stamp.
