Mills,/Proprieter,/1874" printed cancel, small corner creases at top left and top right, otherwise extremely fine; Larry Lyons in his census of important Inverted Center revenues records 23 examples of the One Cent Proprietary on violet paper, only five of the existing population possesses very fine or better centering, and of this select group all have faults, a couple being quite serious, the Floyd example has the most trivial of flaws and is, unquestionably the finest recorded example; 1991 PF certificate; ex-Joyce and Zoellner.
