#8, 5c Blue and U.S. #35, an extraordinarily attractive mixed franking 1861 cover to New Hampshire, with both stamps tied by San Francisco Sept. 30 c.d.s., red "Honolulu/Sep 7/Hawaiian Islands" postmark alongside, large "SHIP" handstamp at top left and blue crayon "2" below (apparently paying the 2c ship fee), Hawaiian stamp with full to large margins all around, 10c stamp with top right corner missing, a clean and beautiful cover, choice very fine; signed R.H.W.(eill) & Co and accompanied by a photocopy of a 1966 PF certificate. Valuable mostly used collection of a few thousand stamps to the 1930's in thirteen albums or stockbooks, some duplication that includes cancels and multiples, also some better mint throughout as well as some proofs and specimen ovpts., much of the value lies in the 19th century which includes ten #1's (three on cover, three pen-cancelled), strong 1851 Issue, with over twenty 1c values including a Ty. II-IIIa combination pair and some with sheet margins, a 5c pair, two 10c and four 12c values, the 1857 and 1861 issues also contain some better values as well as multiples, Bank Notes include fancy cancels on the lower values, the Columbian issue is complete plus some extra values including a $2.00, the 20th century contains some high values, booklet panes, multiples, and more, back-of-the-book issue includes many official stamps and some possessions, condition is a little mixed although many fine or better stamps will be found; inspection of this interesting collection is strongly recommended and will be greatly rewarded.
