1597 ng S.G. #85a imageS.G. #85a, 1920 1/- Orange yellow and red orange Statue of Queen Victoria, frame inverted, a marvelously fresh and well centered unused example of this truly rare and popular error, with deep luxuriant color on bright paper, very fine and choice; approximately 10 examples of this error were discovered in March 1922, and the remains of a half sheet (30) were sent to the Manchioneal Post Office, while it is believed that the other half went to the Kingston Post Office, of this quantity only about 20 examples are still known to exist, this includes two blocks of four, plus a couple of used singles, leaving scant few available unused examples for collectors; 1993 Brandon certificate (Scott #83a; $18,500.00).
