1313 og S.G. #J1/111 S.G. #1/111, The extraordinary collection of Burma Independence Army overprints and Japanese occupation issues, 1942-44, a very scarce and highly comprehensive collection of these fascinating issues, being one of the most representative collections we have ever offered, containing what appears to be 52 different overprints of the Burma Independence Army, with several key stamps included, some of which catalog hundreds of pounds each; plus there is an essentially complete (57 items) collection of the Japanese occupation issues, filled with many scarce issues including the October 1942 re-surcharged issues complete, as well as some overprint varieties, all o.g. with only a few exceptions, fine-very fine; the vast majority of stamps have been signed "B.M." and to a lesser extent by M.D. Rowell; examination of this exciting collection is essential to fully evaluate the genuine stamps which certainly predominate (Scott #1N1/2N27).
