2254 og S.G. #1/276 S.G. #1/276, D1-7, Pietersburg #1-30, The remarkable mint collection of 221 different stamps, easily being the most comprehensive collection of this challenging country we have ever offered as one lot, representing years of diligent searching to fill in as many spaces on Scott pages as possible, beginning with an excellent range of 61 different of the very scarce 1870-79 Coat of Arms issues, then there is a selection of elusive 1879 "1 Penny" surcharges, and from 1885 through 1902 the collection is lacking only one or two stamps for completion, the collection concludes with a complete representation of the 1901 Pietersburg issues and six different British Siege issues; there are many scarce stamps that are impossible to find today despite their relatively modest catalog values, although several higher catalog stamps are noted as well, some unused stamps with no gum, majority are found with o.g., small faults will be present on some, however the overall condition is above average, especially for a collection as representative as this, overall a fine and exciting collection; substantial catalog value involved, so careful examination is essential; twelve certificates accompany (Scott #1/284, J1-7).
