1839 ogO 176/220 #176/220, Puerto Principe issue lot of 145 stamps arranged in a stockbook by Scott number and plate position type, includes many of the 2m-5m Orange brown stamps, but also a couple dozen of the scarcer 1m-8m Blue green stamps, includes both mint and used, with some tied to piece, in addition there are a couple dozen more that have not been sorted into types, and a couple with unusual cancels, typical mixed condition and as usual on a lot this large there will be a mix of genuine and forged overprints, although some of these were originally in the Peter Robertson collection; the lot also includes the Jones-Roy handbook on the issue as well as notes by Peter Robertson and Peter Holcombe; this lot should be carefully inspected by a specialist as there is excellent potential here.
