Dr. Reinhard Fischer Stamp Auctions - 114th auction - September 3-4, 2010
All descriptions are now in English, if you use the english version of the
online-catalogue! Also, our online-catalogue has a powerful search-engine
and also a comfortable online bidding system. For all single lots (about
7800 !) there are high-quality pictures in three resolutions, also there are
pictures of all certificates (about 650) and for the most important 168
collection lots, we have about 5000 pictures online!
Highlights of the auction are
- German states: extensive supply of the “standard-issues”, Bavaria very strong with
three items of the “Schwarzer Einser”, Thurn and Taxis with altogether 350 lots,
beautiful offer of Berlin cancels.
- German empire more than 1200 lots with almost all scarce items, types and colors,
among others also an extensive supply of official stamp control overprints, se-tenants,
stamp booklets, booklet sheets, Zeppelins and air mail
- German colonies: 750 lots with a beautiful supply of mint never hinged items,
cancels, covers, forerunners, types, colors
- Marienwerder: Dissolving of an excellent specialized collection, all overprints expertised

- Danzig: with rarities from the collection Prof. Klein like 15A mnh

- West Zones: 280 lots with specialized colours and types from Kontrollrat, Bizone, Notopfer, many rarities.
- Europe: among others beautiful supply Austria (with a strong supply 1st republic, Wipa souvenir sheet mnH, Dollfuss mnh, all Hitler overprints, Renner souvenir sheets, Blitz/Maske etc.), Liechtenstein, Switzerland (with an extensive part airmail)
- Overseas: among others rarities of Egypt, extensive supply China
- Coins: special catalogue with over 800 lots and approx. EUR 220,000 overall starting
price, beautiful supply medallions, German empire and states, Bund with almost all gold
coins, numerous ancient coins, bullion coins in a large number and an
extensive collection supply.
- Strong collection division with dissolving of several great estates with the
"Sindelfingen" estate (mainly Europe and overseas), the "Gotha" estate as well as the "Hamburg"

With more than 11,500 single lots and about 4,500 collections, the scope
and quality of this auction is indeed unique.
Volume 1: over 4,500 single lots of overseas and themes.
Regions of Near, Middle and Far East... Scarce items from Libya and Saudi
Arabia, never-used stamps (as of no. 1) from Ceylon and the rare covers
from India (e.g. 1855 to Tasmania) and many impressive items from China,
Malay States, Thailand, Japan and other regions of Asia. Many special and
rare worldwide stamps and postal documents and in particular from
territories of the 'British Commonwealth' and former French colonies.
Volume 2: Europe, approximately 3,200 lots. Exceptional
pieces from the Baltic States, Bosnia, and Italian occupied territories.
Rare items from Russia, the Swiss cantons, with 'Double Geneva' and
'Tüblis', and fantastic postal documents from Scandinavia. One highlight is
the selection from Turkey thanks to a remarkable collection of sea post.
Volume 3: more than 3,500 single lots from Germany. The
standard here is very high. Many rarities and unique stamps and postal
documents from the various areas of Germany, in particular from Bavaria,
Schleswig-Holstein, Württemberg as well as the first years of the German
Reich. Items from the German colonies and issues from occupied territories
complement the abundance of rare items from Germany.
Volume 4: over 4,500 collections, items and entire estates
from all over the world. Magnificent examples here are the exhibition
collection "International Sea Post" which was awarded gold, many wonderful
collections from Asia and British Colonies, right through to the very
special collection "Stamps and plate numbers of the USA". Something truly
exceptional is the extensively documented collection "The Blockade of
Leningrad 1941-44", the significance of which extends far beyond the
interests of philately.

- Lot 913 Great Britain 1887 IR Official £1 green fine mint, a lovely,
fresh example of this scarce stamp with RPS Cert. (SG O16) Cat £10000. Est

lovely example of this very scarce item [scarcer than the issued magenta],
from a recently discovered block of 4 [of which this is the finest of the
