RKA Covers was started in January, 1990 as a U.S. Cover Dealership doing the
major Stamp Shows in the U.S. and Canada. The company is owned by Ralph and
Diane Achgill of Lafayette, Indiana. Ralph is a licensed and bonded
auctioneer in the state of Indiana. RKA Covers conducted their first Mail Bid
Sale in February, 1997. They conducted their first Public Auction in
February, 1999. They now conduct monthly Mail Bid Sales and Public Auctions.
Approximately, three of the 12 sales each year will be Public Auctions usually
connected with a major Stamp Show.
RKA Covers Auctions sends out about 2000 printed (black and white) catalogs
for each sale. They also have the entire auction listed in full color on
their web site . Bidders may send in their bids by phone,
mail, fax, e-mail or directly from the web page. RKA Covers does not accept
consignments and charges 15% for all lots that are sold. Catalogs are free,
just call and request one.
