Arshiston, Commanding, Rifle Brigade', endorsed 'Please Forward', originally addressed to Portsmouth, ENGLAND, then redirected to MALTA, GOSPORT, WINCHESTER and LONDON, the letter was finally deemed UNDELIVERABLE and RETURNED to the Canadian DEAD LETTER OFFICE (received 29 AU), with a total of TWENTY-FIVE POSTMARKS and ELEVEN MANUSCRIPT ENDORSEMENTS in all covering both front and back, this is one of the MOST FORWARDED covers we have ever seen, all for 2¢, filing fold and cover has been split for display. 711 c 90bs image90bs: 2¢ booklet stamp used on a ROUND-THE-WORLD 1d British Postal card, originally mailed 24 SP 1903 from Bradford, ENGLAND, thence to Canada, USA, France, Holland, Germany, Belgium and Italy, with various labels, receivers and re-directions accounting for each leg of the journey, re-posted in Canada in early November 1903, it reached it's final destination in Dumferline, Scotland in December, a most colourful and attractive card, with a few 'battle scars' from it's arduous journey (stains, creases, etc), still a fine and wonderful DISPLAY PIECE.
