at top, an attractive example with four ample to mostly large margins
tied to a large portion of an 1846 folded entire by two blue pen strokes
and a clear "New York/9 Mar/5 cts." red c.d.s., matching arched "PAID" to
left, addressed to Philadelphia, central file fold well away from stamp

Provisional, signed A.C.M., with periods after each letter, horizontal
pair with ample to full margins all around, tied to light blue colored
folded entire to Grand Rapids, Mich. by the usual two horizontal blue pen
strokes, red arched "Paid" handstamp to left of pair, with matching "New
York/3 Sep/10 cts." c.d.s. at bottom left, pair with rich color and a crisp
impression, couple of light vertical file folds, one of which passes
through right stamp in pair, otherwise very fine; very scarce style of
initials, particularly when found on cover.
