Catalog at StampAuctionNetwork Online Images Available Public Auction with LIVE Internet Bidding Worldwide Material Postal History Found in SAN Search Engine Kelleher & Rogers Ltd. Fine Asian Auctions - Public Auction: Winter 2015 Sale - January 9-11, 2015 We are pleased to begin the Western New Year with our second sale under the Kelleher and Rogers banner. A good portion of that is due to the amazing, specialized-by-issue groups formed by the eminent philatelist Mr. Lee Hill Jr. Now the time has come to bring these sections to the marketplace, in what promises to be an unparalleled opportunity for the collector to acquire some of the most extensive specialized collections by issue or value ever offered at public auction.

For those who are unfamiliar with Mr. Hill's legacy in the philatelic world, it should be known that during World War II Lee struck up in enduring friendship with the late Mr. Ma Ren Chuen, the original editor and publisher of the "Ma Catalog of the Stamps of China" published in 1947. This catalog quickly became the main focal reference point of Chinese philately and remained so for decades. Following the passing of Mr. Ma in the late 1980's, Lee became the custodian publisher of the Ma catalog as well as countless "Ma's Supplements" which furthered the understanding of the more complex issues. Not long after this sale, Lee will celebrate his 91st birthday.

Many other noteworthy sections are included as well. The back cover features splendid examples of the 3ca and 5ca thin paper Large Dragons in full sheets. Be sure to carefully review the wonderful section of Silver Yuan issues complete with varieties and numerous stunning items of postal history. Excellent People's Republic of China material comes from numerous U.S. based consignors as well as further portions from the Fidelity Trading Company and Michael Rogers Inc. stocks. Various covers and postal history of China and Asia arrives from a well-known European dealer and don't miss the interesting Japanese section which features a gold medal exhibit on the commemorative cards of Japan in addition to other interesting lots and groups.

Finally, be sure not to miss the excellent selections of Chinese Eastern and Southern Manchuria railway covers and the Russian Post Offices in China postal history found within.
