570 c 41 image41: 3¢ vermilion (faulty when applied) tied by Yarmouth 28 DE '95 Squared Circle to cover via Boston to ENGLAND, with additional US 5¢ Garfield also applied at time of mailing and tied on receipt in Boston by 29 DEC duplex (letters franked with US stamps could catch the earlier Packet Service from Boston), Liverpool 8 JA '96 receiver on back, a very rare DOUBLE COUNTRY FRANKING with no postage due markings as the letter was properly franked for both legs of it's journey, but the cover does have some modest overall age-spotting. 572 c 41 image41: 3¢ vermilion strip of four tied by corks (through perforations) by four cork cancels to cover from Wellington, Ontario 14 AU '89 via Windsor 15 AU and San Francisco 22 AU to Dunedin, NEW ZEALAND, the revised 12¢ rate effective JA '89 to OC '91, 17 SP receiver on back, addressee was not at the G.P.O. so the cover was redirected next day back to sender (Windsor 31 OC transit) with manuscript '6d' (postage due to New Zealand) charge on front, some cover edge and opening faults (affects one stamp), a very rare rate cover with this franking. 573 c 35,41 image35,41: 3¢ vermilion plus two 1¢ yellow tied by Windsor 28 DE Squared Circles to cover originally from Bath 27 DE to Abbotsford, Melbourne, AUSTRALIA, via San Francisco 1 JA and received at Melbourne 3 FE, then to Collingwood same day and back to Melbourne, forwarded 14 FE to Abbotsford, VICTORIA (received 16 FE), returned to the DLO at Melbourne 6 AP and back to the Canadian Dead Letter Office on 27 MY, a very well-travelled cover with several faults caused by its long journey, FORWARDED SEVEN TIMES and completely covered with a total of 22 cancels and instructional markings plus eight manuscript endorsements and tapes, some of which were used to reseal the cover, quite colourful and a true showpiece.
